AFWF’s events are held in various locations throughout the greater Atlanta area. The festival’s signature Tasting Tents presented by Goya Foods will take place at Historic Fourth Ward Park. Festival entry is available at Historic Fourth Ward Park’s Northern Entrance on 665 North Ave NE (located across the street from Ponce City Market). This year’s festival will be benefiting Children of Conservation. Funds raised through the festival’s fundraising efforts will be going to Children of Conservation’s lunch program, which feeds underprivileged children attending the Twampane Community Primary and Secondary Schools in Zambia. Children of Conservation built the Secondary school to support children of the families who work at and around the Chimfunshi Chimpanzee Orphanage. Prior to Children of Conservation, these children ate one meal a day and only had protein once a week, leading to extensive absences and malnutrition. Now, they eat a wholesome protein lunch every day at school. In addition, funds raised will also go to the construction of a high school to allow these kids to continue their education.
Yes, all AFWF events are 21 and older. A Valid ID is required for admission at all festival events. If event security cannot verify your age, you will not be admitted into the event. Anyone under the age of 21 will be refused entry and tickets will not be refunded.
All AFWF events are 21 and older. No children or infants (even in strollers or carriers) are allowed to attend any festival event.
While we love your furry friends, no pets are allowed at any AFWF event. This includes emotional support animals, therapy animals, or companion animals. ONLY service animals are permitted. Service animals are defined as dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. All service animals must remain by the handler’s side at all times and must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered, unless these devices interfere with the service animal’s work or the individual’s disability prevents using these devices. In that case, the individual must maintain control of the animal through voice, signal, or other effective controls. Anyone bringing a service animal WILL be responsible for and liable for any damage or injury the animal causes. For more information, please refer to the U.S. Department of Justice.
If you are attending an in-restaurant brunch or intimate dinner and have food allergies or dietary restrictions, you will be able to list them out during the ticket purchasing process. The chefs at these events will do their best to accommodate special dietary needs, but we emphasize this is only a request. All requests must be received two weeks prior to the festival. While chefs provide a variety of food offerings at our events, all larger tasting events are not able to accommodate special dietary needs or food allergies.
There is no enforced dress code; however, we recommend checking the local weather and dressing appropriately as some of our events may be outdoors.
